Your learning system, identity provider and HR records already hold half of what a test needs. Exampit connects to them through open standards, so nobody retypes a roster.

Six ways systems connect

Open standards first, so you are never tied to one vendor.

  • Learning systems

LTI 1.3 launches from Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard and D2L Brightspace, with grades passed back.

  • Single sign-on

SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect for staff and candidates, through your identity provider.

  • HR and applicant systems

Scheduled CSV exports and webhooks send results to your HR or applicant tracking system.

  • Item exchange

QTI 2.1 and 3.0 import and export, so items move in and out with their metadata.

  • Digital credentials

Open Badges 3.0 credentials issued on a pass, verifiable by anyone the holder shares them with.

  • API and webhooks

A REST API for rosters, sessions and results; webhooks fire on registration, submission and score release.

Questions about connecting systems

Which learning management systems work with Exampit?

Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard and D2L Brightspace connect through LTI 1.3, the current learning tools standard. Students launch an exam from their course, sign in once, and grades pass back to the gradebook when you release scores. Other systems that support LTI 1.3 usually work too, and we test yours during scoping.

Do you connect to our HR system?

Yes, through scheduled CSV exports, webhooks or the REST API rather than a separate connector for each HR vendor. Most HR teams begin with a nightly export of results and pass status, then add webhooks when they want results the moment a score is released. Your implementation lead sets up the first feed.

Which plans include integrations?

CSV import and export and QTI exchange come with every plan. Single sign-on and LTI 1.3 come with the Program plan and above, and full REST API access comes with the Network plan. Your proposal lists each connection you need as its own line, so nothing appears later as a surprise.

Can we move items in from another system?

Yes. The platform imports QTI 2.1 and 3.0 packages, so items arrive with their metadata and, where your current system exports it, their history. For a whole bank with years of statistics, the Platform Migration program moves everything and ends with a reconciliation report you sign off.
