Your first online exam, in ten weeks

One exam moved online with a lead beside you to test day.

Length

Most launches go wrong in the last week, when a form is built in a hurry and accommodations are set by hand. This program puts both in week six, with four weeks left to check them.

How the ten weeks run

  1. Weeks 1 and 2

    Scope and import

A 90-minute kickoff, then your items imported and tagged to the blueprint.

  2. Weeks 3 to 5

    Review the bank

Your experts review flagged items in the platform; we track every decision.

  3. Week 6

    Build two forms

Two forms assembled to blueprint weights, plus accommodations for every approved candidate.

  4. Weeks 7 and 8

    Rehearse the window

A pilot with 20 to 40 volunteers, timed, then fixes from what they hit.

  5. Weeks 9 and 10

    Go live

Your live window with your lead on the support line, then first item statistics.

What you receive

Who it is for
Program managers moving one exam online
Format
Online, with an optional on-site day in New Mexico
  • Your items banked with tags, history and review status
  • Two locked forms that match your blueprint weights
  • Accommodation settings for every approved candidate
  • A pilot report listing timing, issues and fixes
  • First-window item statistics and a one-page summary

Is this the right program?

Right for you if

  • You run one exam on paper or an old system
  • You have a blueprint, even an informal one
  • Your first online window is three to six months away

Look elsewhere if

  • You need a new exam written from scratch; start with a Job Task Analysis
  • You are moving five or more exams at once; ask about Platform Migration

Example: a state board’s jurisprudence exam

A nursing board gives a 60-item jurisprudence exam on paper at its Santa Fe office four times a year. After ten weeks it runs online with remote proctoring, two forms rotate, and candidates in Gallup and Hobbs no longer drive to Santa Fe.

Exam Launch questions, answered

What do we need ready before week one?

Your current items in any format, your blueprint or content outline, a list of who on your team approves items, and your window dates. If the blueprint is informal, a spreadsheet of topics and rough weights is enough. We turn it into platform tags in the first two weeks.

Is the platform subscription included in the price?

No. The $4,800 program fee covers the launch work. The platform subscription is separate and starts at $6,000 a year for up to 2,000 sessions. Most programs sign both together so the subscription begins in week one at no extra cost for the launch period.

Can we add remote proctoring during the launch?

Yes. Remote proctoring is configured in week six with the forms, and the pilot in weeks seven and eight includes proctored sessions so candidates and staff see the full check-in. Proctoring sessions are billed per session from $6 for record and review.

What happens if our pilot finds problems?

That is what the pilot is for. Weeks seven and eight leave time for fixes: rewording items, adjusting timing or changing accommodations. If a problem would put the live window at risk, your lead tells you in writing with options and a recommendation, before you commit to the date.
